The Newcomer's Guide to Topline
Everything you need to get started in Belverra
🌿 Welcome to Belverra
Belverra is a world shaped by horses and the people who ride them. From the fog-draped shores of the Ironwood Coast to the sun-baked plains of the interior, ten distinct regions stretch across a land where equestrian tradition runs deep — and where that tradition looks a little different everywhere you go. Long before the great show circuits unified the regions, local cultures of horsemanship had already taken root. Today those traditions meet in the show ring, the breeding barn, and the careful records of associations like the Belverra Dressage Federation. Your corner of Belverra starts small — a stable, a horse, an entry form — but the history you're stepping into is anything but.
Persistent world. Belverra runs continuously. Animals age, seasons change, and show results accumulate over time whether you're logged in or not.
Gradual progression. There are no shortcuts — advancement comes from competing well, breeding thoughtfully, and putting in the time.
Time moves differently here. One real-world day equals two days in Belverra. Keep that rhythm in mind as you plan breeding timelines and show schedules.
🏡 First Steps
- Choose your home. When you join you'll pick a stable name and a home region. Choose carefully — both cost Laurels to change later.

- Know your pages. Your Dashboard is your hub — announcements, upcoming shows, your animal list, and links to everything important. Your Stable page is your public-facing page, showing your animals, recent results, and stable information.

- Currencies. Topline has two currencies. Rosettes are the primary currency used for purchasing animals, paying stud and entry fees, and buying slots — earned through active play and show prize money. Laurels are the incentive currency, earned only through activity and Top 5 show placings — exchangeable for Rosettes, Vouchers, and other rewards. Premium Members receive a monthly stipend of 50 Laurels.
Welcome Package
All new members receive 100,000 Rosettes, 25 Laurels, and 10 Vouchers when they join!
🐴 Your First Animals
- Foundation animals. The easiest way to get started is to create a foundation animal via your Dashboard — click "Add Horse" or "Add Dog" and fill in the details. Foundation animals let you choose breed, name, color, and background stats directly.

- Animal profiles. Every animal has a profile page showing breed, name, gender, color, age, discipline and current level, pedigree and progeny, stud information (stallions and male dogs), and competition history. Health stats are visible to the owner only.

- Current level. This is the level your animal is currently competing at within their discipline. All dogs begin at the lowest level. A horse's starting level is determined by age, training background, and a level cap. Requirements to progress vary by discipline and level. For dog disciplines and levels check the dog guide.

- Other ways to acquire animals. Beyond foundation animals, horses and dogs can be bought from other players, or bred.
🏆 Competition
- Finding shows. All approved shows are listed on the Show Calendar, filterable by species, region, and discipline.

- Entering. Click "Enter Show" on any show and select eligible animals from the modal — or use "Select All Eligible" for a quick entry. Confirm and you're in.

- Results & rewards. Placing in a show earns Rosettes and Laurels. Top 5 placings also contribute to your discipline progression and prestige tier advancement. Shows are processed automatically — check your notifications for results.

- Horse disciplines. Topline covers a wide range of equestrian disciplines from dressage and show jumping to cutting, reining, and combined driving. Each has its own level progression. See the full discipline guide for details.

- Dog disciplines. Dogs compete in their own set of sport disciplines with their own level progression. See the Dog Guide for a full breakdown.
💊 Health & Care
- Horses have Health and Stress stats. Routine care — farrier, deworming, dental, vaccination, and wellness exams — is due on a recurring schedule. Overdue care causes health to decay and caps recovery. Horses can also sustain injuries or become stressed from overtraining, both of which affect performance and prevent competing until resolved.

- Dogs require vaccination, deworming, wellness exams, and grooming on a recurring schedule. Overdue care carries the same health penalties.

- Care can be performed from the animal's profile page or through a player-owned business. You'll receive notifications when care is due. For full details see the Animal Health Guide.
⭐ Prestige & Progression
Belverra has six prestige tiers, from Grassroots to Laureate. You start at Tier 1 with everything you need — stable, animals, and local shows. As you compete, breed, and stay active you'll unlock show hosting, business and association ownership, expanded stable tools, and unique profile themes. Higher tiers increase your Rosette earn rate and add a monthly bonus. Milestones reflect genuine time and investment in your stable — there are no shortcuts.
